Hi fellow Yamaha enthusiasts. I have a 2004 RX 1 with 10klm on it. I had it out about 3 weeks ago rode as it should always been bullet proof. Its been -33c here on Lake Simcoe , however today at -14c decided to take the sled out for a ride.
Started right up, battery tender always plugged in, newer oil nothing changed .
The engine is making a changing noise, gas spitting out of carbs 3 & 4.
Is this motor toast, is it worth repairing?
Sometimes we can't catch a break!

Something may have frozen in the carbs if any moisture present at those very cold temps. Put it inside if possible to thaw things out, or take the air box out and place a small heater in there. Once all thawed, put the air box back in and try again. You never know, could be something simple. That changing noise doesn't sound good though.
