Hi nos-pro i forgot to ask u are u planning on running nos on your rx1 if you are than high 9s may be obtainable if stock look for high 11s-12s now if stock try 40 bottom 20 top but u may have to change chains,now if its on the bottle that changes everything,39/23 u talked about may work ok. Thanks for the pic your rx1 looked good,now a friend of mine who ownes yammi dealership took 120 lbs.off his rx1 and raced it all last fall,but could not get it any faster than 114 in 1/4 and i think 10.5 or 10.7 now this was all stock motor w/75 miles,good luck.

Hey angleboy, I do have a fogger progressive kit, but will keep that for the end, after I do the changes from the sponsors and friends from the forum. If it's 11's that we are going from, I think we can change this sled's performance alot. Talk to ya later.

I have made many changes in gearing from 20/38 to 24/38 in a 1000 ft run.With 20/38 you will have the same speed as the F7 .By going to a 21/38 the F7 will have no chance on a 1000 ft run.This is by changing gearing only. :lol:

rx1 speeds
this is what i have done moter no mods stk. carbs balenced finely 137.5 mains needles rased 1 clip stk air breather and tool box has not been alterd low black windscreen no studs stock track cluches well that were i spent mine time 57.5 daltons silver/black primary spring [trail] blue/black for race and speed runs dalton,s 56r46 helex with a yamaha green secondary spring with three washers under the helex over studs to get a little more shift out cut some mat off the in side of the primaery sheves to get a little more shift out belt now runs .95 of a mil from top i also cut the belt side clerance dowen to 0.20 by removeing some matiral from the c clips that hold the in side sheve on the clucth this had an effect on traction and i mene a lot dam sled tried to go over backwards twice its very hard to hold an rx 1 up when your standing on the ground with you armes streched out over your head and a little when your at the drags with lots of people wacthing on not once but two times got no wins that day sill with no studs and stock track and stk gearing to. will test with my comet 4pro this comeing year only ran it once this year seamed to run strong. note for max speed you must run at lest 10.500 rpm. last but not lest we were runing 1500 ft

hauler thats all i did to make the speedo a little more in line with the speed of the sled just cut one touth of with a dremel it was easy and cheap. just got tierd of seeing 140 mph when i knew that it was not even close to the real speed . that took about 11 mph off

Black John did you notice any diff when traveling at less than 100mph :?: The stock speedo seems to be somewhat more accurate at slower speeds

I was wondering the same thing silver, it is very odd that a magnetic pick up and a digital instrument are not accurate to start with. Let alone not be linear from top to bottom. :?:

Buckeye the 21/38 is the one for the 1000 ft .Made lots of changes in this snowmobile this year with very good results.It as the power that many don't know how to put it to the snow.The way this RX1 is set up from yamaha is socks for drag racing.With many changes this RX1 is a RX1000 +.
