Well I am getting a different sled this year and it will be a 4 stroke, but am a little confused about what to get, it will all come down to money of course. But one of my options is an RX-1 with a 162, there are a couple in the buy and sell here a 2003 and an 04. I am basically wondering how these machines are with the longer tracks, how do they compare to newer sleds as far as ridability (does the track push it??) and how do they climb (is the 162 too much for them??) and any other info you can help me with. thanks for any help.

Some people have amazing luck with 162's on their RX1's and say they are comparable to a newer stock 800. They have enough power to push them, thats for sure.
My 162 didnt impress me until i put a supercharger on mine.

Take a look at this boosted RX-1 in the classified section - looks like a good deal:

Must be the difference between your ISP in Norway and ours here in North America. Mine will take me to the correct link with the http and www combined in the same link but not with the http alone.

Since we already have "hijacked" the post/thread with computer questions and racing information - does the hyperlink work now? I have edited it.
Still looks like one heck of a deal

Yes I got to it, but I really dont want a turbo as of yet, I would kill myself!! I am just wondering how the longer tracks work on the RX-1 style machines. The one here I see in the paper has a 2006 Apex skid in it.
Goeing from OEM 151" track and skid frame to a 162" track with apex mountain skid was the best mod I have done to it except boost.
There is plenty of new take off apex skids and tracks that are beeing sold very cheap.

so they at least compare to an apex as far as climbing and boondocking ability??
Apex has rideforward ergos, high seat and FI and 10 extra hp
Rx-1 would have to do, skid, track tunnel ext., rideforward kit (wildchild), mountain skies (if 2003-2004) and seat to get close to the Apex. But you would still lack of FI and 10 hp
