RIP 04 Viper-S
Hi guys. Snow is here in Maine! Took my first ride in almost 3 years yesterday and the smile was ear to ear.
Anyway. Just wondering if it is safe to lift the front of the sled under the engine with a motorcycle lift / jack. This is my first 4 stroke and I'm not exactly sure if it is safe to lift the sled under the engine like I could with my Viper due to the oil pan, etc. I have a regular motorcycle jack with the 2 "arms" that I think would be great for lifting the sled for maintenance, etc.
Thanks in advance.

I use a motorcycle jack to lift the front of my sleds. I put the jack in all the way and jack it up, I center it and make sure I'm not past the back of the frame anywhere near the front heat ex changer. For changing oil I use the jack under one ski and lift it till I can access the skid plate screws and then the bottom frame plate.
