Got into a discussion with others and we started conversation regarding what my 05 Rx-1 Warrior would keep up with. I was told most newer 600's would probably beat it from a dead stop to 1/4 mile. I was not agreeing with this but have no first hand experience. Anyone out there have any first hand knowledge regarding this topic

If yours is running right I think a 600/700 is 2nd place.

Nope... Not with everything being equal. If you are in a low traction situation though, the stock warrior track isn't the greatest and if you are going up against something with better traction, maybe. But even then, once the warrior gets moving, its over. Its big advantage is once it gets hooked up, the 600 won't stand a chance of keeping up.
Not many 700's around, but I know that in a straight line on a lake the warrior is also substantially quicker to 1/4 than a mountain geared/tracked 800.
(I've owned &/or ridden a couple newer 600's, none would have been close to a warrior at 1/4 mile.)

I thought if on hard pack the Warrior would eventually walk away from most 600 cc sleds. Good to hear a 10 yr old 135-140 HP sled is still in relatively competitive.

if your sled lazy getting to shift rpm and these 600s are clutched they will get ahead at first as long as your turning right rpm you will real them in.Make sure your getting to 10200 rpm asap once you hit throttle and good traction

I have a buddy who rides a doo 600 that he converted to a 700 just because of my sled. Then was REALLY pissed when that didn't really help him. Lol.
Bunch of money into the upgrade and clutching and still won't run with my sled up to 90 mph or so. I let off there because my track starts ballooning and slapping tunnel.

The last few years I have been thinking about trading and getting a newer sled as my Warrior is now 11 years old. (I've had it since 06) Everyone says they are heavy , have a poor suspension, push in corners etc etc but it always brings a smile to my face when I punch it and hear that motor kick in. After hearing the replies to the original post about it still being fairly competitive I think I will keep the old girl a while longer.
