Yamaha will be offering a new mirror kit next fall to fit all the RX/RS series sleds that will be along the lines of the ones that will be coming stock on the 2005 RS Venture snowmobiles. The kits will retail for $79.95 Here a link to what they look like on the new Ventures http://www.yamaha-motor.com/products/Un ... 6&iid=5585

When I looked at these at one of the shows, they looked like they should fit any of the 4-strokes since the windshield area is the same.

Port-parts, I assume this kit refers to both mirrors for the 79.95? Thanks for the information and it will sure be nice to get those mirrors off the shroud and more visible/user friendly...

I have the 2004 "new style" version of mirrors and they aren't that great. The 05 version looks much better. Knowing Yamaha and what I paid for the ones I have new ones will be 79.95 each.

Both mirrors and the hardware will be sold in the kit and retail for $79.95. They will fit all the 4-stroke models (RX & RS).
Ski-Dog - I have never seen the mirrors you speak of other than in pictures on the net. The ones you have were sold in Canada only by the Canadian dealers. They were never offered in the US. The mirror kits I'm speaking of for $79.95 are being offered in the US by Yamaha. I'm not sure if they will be offered in Canada (I would assume so) and what the pricing will be like there.

We haven't received any of these mirrors sets in yet this fall. But we have plenty on order for stock and for taking to the snow shows this fall. You can order them with us at anytime. As soon as Yamaha fills the backorder on these we will be able to ship them as they were ordered.
I hope these are better than the goofy mirrors peedo sells for the rev as they resemble. The best luck I had with my last RX1 was the old standard Yamy mirrors mounted below the windshield. I would like to hear some feed back on these before I order mine for my 05 RX1.

Will the mirrors fit under the 2004 Snowmobile cover
Will the new mirrors fit under the 2004 deluxe cover or do we need to buy a new cover to go with the mirrors.

I am not sure at this point. The Yamaha covers have that expandable type of material around the windshield area of the cover and that is where the mirrors should fit into the cover. I would think there would be enough room for expansion that the mirrors would fit in fine but until I see it for sure I can't guarantee it.

RS Venture mirrors
Will the RS Venture mirrors fit in other than on the windshield???
I don't like the windshield postion, but would like to mount the mirrors on the side if possible.

Snorover I took some out of the package and tried eyeing them up on a sled like they would be mounted on the side of the hood. All I saw was the ground directly behind the snowmobile. The angles on the bend of the stem and the adjustable portion of the mirror do not allow it to work properly when mounted on the side. I'm sure if you maybe fabricated some sort of tapered mount you might be able to make it work.

Could you mount the stem at an angle to be able to see behind you, or would the construction of the mirror prevent that???
Thanks for your help
