Looking for some specs or guidance on what the measurments should be on the reverse cables or system. My reverse will not stay engaged and grinds when not engaged. Any tips to get this set right? Thanks

Be EXACT on the 27mm.
The next step is tricky so do it twice.
Lube the threads so the screw turns easily & doesn't skew your judgement of "friction"

Thanks! Will check this tonight as we just got our real first snow fall this year!

Since you've heard the dreaded grinding, it would be a good idea to do an inspection on the gears and chaincase. There could be shrapnel inside. If you're lucky like I was, everything will be fine. But, it's worth a look.

@Macheater & @stevewithOCD tried to do this last night but no luck....I wanted to upload a video but it was to large. I manually put the lower shift lever in reverse and it would not stay engaged and was hard to put in with my hand....I don't want to pull the chain case cover off but sounds like something is not in place. Can you adjust it while the cover is off??

You need the cover on to do the second part of adjustment.
What do you mean "put the lower shift lever in reverse"?
There is a big spring in there that will need the assembled leverage & locking mechanism to work.

If there was significant grinding, i would pull it apart.
Give it a good inspection & cleaning.

I have been down this path. Over the last 2 years. I fixed the grinding with the recommended adjustments. Then I had another problem. Not a good one. Hopefully my post tonight in the RS section will help.

Ok thanks for the help.
A bit of scoring from the main axle but all looks ok. Can't upload a pic as rogers says server can't accept a file as it's to big.

I found the small reverse gear with the very small spring are in bad shape, teeth are rounded and spring has no resistance....grrr what a piss off.

Hi Steve, I had to get it at around 37 to work properly! Not sure the Apex was the same as the Warrior, but happy it is working now! Thanks for the help.
