RX Warrior GT ( 2008 ) How to change the track... ?

Hi !

I'm actually a BRP guy but have promised a friend to change the track on his newly purchased
RX Warrior GT (2008)
OE track: 136" x 15" x 1,25"
New track: 136" x 15" x 1,75"

Since I am not familiar with Yamaha 4-stroke sleds,
I wonder if there is something special to consider when changing the track on this sled ?
For example, how to do with the skid shock that is controlled from the handlebar ?
Must the tunnel protectors be removed ?

If you go to the Apex section of the site. At the top Apex and attack frequently asked questions. All the info you need is there. In the states your friends sled is an Apex ltx. The plug for the electric shock is by the chain case behind the footwell.

If you have done it on doos you'll be fine, not different than most.

You will probably need to remove the tunnel protectors to run a track that tall otherwise it will rub.im very familiar with the 136 mono&have changed many tracks on them,if you have any questions just ask.pay close attention when disassembling the chaincase as there are springs,washers etc to keep track of.also good idea to replace driveshaft speedo side bearing while its apart.i would replace the chaincase gasket otherwise it may or may not leak(I don’t like doing a job twice)check the idler wheel bearings..slides.suspension arms for cracks,suspension bushings etc while apart.do you have the special socket to torque the chaincase side nut?if not you can make your own out of a socket &a section of pipe.some just guess on torque but it’s not a good idea in my opinion
