ok as a good brother should, my brother offered to replace the bad exh donuts on my 05 war (thnks kirkswim). sled was not louder but i need 2 new y pipes :o| . while looking at the part #'s, the 03 ,05 (rx1) and 08 (apex) all are the same part # other than one letter at the beginning. has anyone put the apex pipes on an rx or vice versa? thinking on getting the excell head pipes but they only list the apex.

good thing i can borrow dad's sled ;)! to ride this weekend as it looks like mine is down.

Maim - when replacing the titanium y-pipes on an 05 RX model I would recommend using the 04 RX style as they are made of stainless and are much more durable. The 03 RX style would also work but the 04's have some additional bracing on them. Also if you use the 03 or 04 style be sure to remove the heat shields on them by drilling out the rivets holding them on as the heat shields are not needed and if left on are just a source of a rattle due to loose rivets after time. As far as the Apex style y-pipes go those are longer than the RX style so they will not fit. Hope this info helps ;)!

there is a length issue of about 1 1/2inches as I remember. I ran rx exhaust on my apex but need to use muffler to and do some bending of brackets in the back and a spacer to use the rx tips with the apex plastics.

if you have a muffler shop, you could just reweld your muffler to what you need to fit the apex hi flow pipses. They are making them anyway so if you ask, they might be able to make them the length you want. I doubt your the first to want them for their rx. Give them a call.

went with stockers as bro is doing it with a highschool tec class and wants no problems on assembly. thanks for the responses as i do not think this question had been asked before.
