RX1 oil capacity

Having an issue with ecp filter the small one misting more than i like. In the manual it states

3.0 qts - no filter change
3.2 qts - with filter
4.0 qts - total (i'm confused)

I know that little oil filter don't hold a quart wondering if it's because my oil level is wrong, the dip stick always reads high and i know my dealer puts in 4 quarts. What is everybody else putting in?

3.2 should be the right amout with filter. 4.0 is total capacity and would only be required in the case of a rebuild where the engine is completely dried out. At four you should be all the way past the gauge part on the dipstick.

I should add that if the dealer is putting in even slightly more than 3 L he will charge you for the full four,even if it all isn't in the machine.

Thanks had a feeling that might be the case. I assume because of the angle the motor sits it can't all be drained out? I'll drain some out til it's at the right mark and see what happens.
