RX1 trottle cable

No it wasn't bad, actualy it was only $30 with the shipping, the cable was only $15. But if I was to ship it back it wouldn't be worth it, I may as well keep it.

I to wanted the longer cable for a 3" riser so I ordered the mtn cable. I read this thread and before they came in I called the dealer to let them know that others are getting the same length cables with mtn #'s. They stated part #'s were different and I should be all set.
I got them yesterday and they are the same!!
Why do so many dealers not know this?
So only 05 has the longer cable right. I need to call them to let them know I need the cable before Christmas.!

:exc: :o|

I used the yamaha parts finder on this great website that is listed in the header above. I searched thur all the 03/04 RX1's, part number is 8FA 26311 or 8EP 26311. Got to the 05, short track models are using 8FU 26311. But the 05 mountain only is using, "8FW 26311". I have aftermarket bars, riser, steering stem, I use the 05 RX1 mt on my 03 RX1 mt. I think being a partsman is kinda like a weatherman, always wrong. But I guess all technicians think that of parts people, haha.

I looked up the part #'s but none of them make any sence. The description does not show length and that is the one thing we are all looking for to figure out which one to order.

05 mtn 8fw-26311
04 mtn 8ep-26311
05 warrior 8fu-26311
04 warrior 8fa-26311

I purchased the 05 MTN cable for my 6 inch riser, it is definitely a few inches longer, along with the choke cable. I would say 3 -4 in longer.

The '05 are the ones you want to order! DV8 is 100% correct! When I did my mods I ordered 3 sets until we found the right ones.

i did mine and unloaded it from my trailer ,cranked it hard right and slammed my hood up under the back of my trailer when it revved....nice scratches , no breaks ... :o|
