Yeah, I noticed Ray had one on his sled during the Mc Call ride. Plus it' about 1 lb of worthless junk gone off the front with the cable, extra mechanical caliper and lever.
I'm sure glad I got to watch you put your skid back in after the H-Arm repair. Sticking the screw drivers through the mounting holes in the drop brackets made getting the skid in alot easier. I don't have my new hyfax yet so it will be a little tougher than when we changed yours. After setting the extensions and checking for track adjustability per MPI's instructions I didn't want to pull the skid back out just for the hyfax install.
All that's left now is the hyfax once they are shiped, change oil and wash/polish.

i'm asking why you didnt go to 16'', i 'm on the way to swap my track too and i'm going 151 x 16. And i'm thinking to put the Bullydog supsension too.
151 x 16 is probably the best compromise here for deep wood snow riding and hillclimb.
For sure i will put a Mountainperformance Seat too.
The only question left, what is the best drop bracket for the 16 inch and the weight loss. Any input ???

tundra, I went with the 162" x 15" for economical reasons along with the thought it will be better for after the MPI super charger next year. I couldn't get the extra cash for the alluminum brackets that will allow the 16" wide to fit so I went with the 162" and stock brackets. If I did have enough for the brackets and the extra cost of the 16" wide I still would have went 159 x 16.
I rode Ray's (spray25) 159" x 15" turbo at the Mc Call ride. The 151" x 16" will give you about the same foot at 2416" sq vs. the 162" x 15" at 2430" sq but, the longer track will help keep you from going over backwards more than the shorter 151". I couldn't imagine riding a 220 HP sled with a 151"; especially if you make it a inch wider. That gives you the same traction without the extra length to help keep the right side up while climbing.
Alot of the guys are using the MPI billet drop brackets. Weight loss is 4.2 lbs acording to their web site if I remember correctly.

that seem logical.
for cash reason too , i swap turbo or supercharger in my mind for lightweight stuff.
I dont know how much it's cost for aluminium drop bracket, and i'm searching the one who will get the job done.
I didnt have the weight of the bullydog suspension at this time, but with mountain mod seat, l/w battery, l/w rear drop bracket/ecp kit i hope loose almost 45 lbs.
It's buying south of the border that kill me with the exchange rate. 950 $ us is about 1200 $ can  But bully dog suspension look good too me, and 16 inch track a really good track (in my case)

tundra, I agree on the light weight parts vs turbo/ super charger. I have about 60 lbs dropped now. I have a light weight battery, lighter Cr-Moly A-arms, removed anti-swaybar, removed toolbox/beverage holder, lightweight Whiteknuckle exhaust, BOSS high rise seat, MPI's tunnel extension (lighter than stock) and my FRA suspension mod.
Spray25 has the bullydog suspension in his sled. It is a good suspension from what I could see and feel while riding it.
