I am studding my 144" 1-1/4" predator. How many studs will I need to stud it just up the middle? Where is the best place to buy them with aluminium backets and tall nuts?
Thanks

As for where to get the studs.. royal distributing has the best prices. As for stud patterns.. I have the same length of track and type.

Double Backers are much more durable and less likely to pull through. Use the aluminum TALL nuts from royal as well. Keeps the stud from bending as easily. I have about 500miles on this setup and it works great. Used to run singles and bent the hell out of them and had lots of pull-outs. (garbaged track). Oh and i'm running 1.450's so if your gonna run shorter studs your gonna need more of them if you want to hook. Cheers

Thanks for the replys. I would have thought the 1.450" would be too tall. Especially with my track loosened off to help reduce slider wear. . Did you install tunnel protectors?

I have just ran them with factory protectors. At the front exchanger there is still about "finger width" clearance. These studs really help these sleds get the power to the ground. 1.3750's or 1.40's would be your other options. But 1.40's aren't available everywhere. I only run the bigger studs because i like to drag my buddies and the hook up is insane!!
cool. Thanks again
