Going to look at a 2006 supercharged Apex no reverse it has a 280hp MPI supercharger (planning to lower boost to 10 psi-240hp) has head shim, Has boost-air/fuel and charger temp guages, bar riser, main guage relocation, lightweight aluminum drop brackets, mountain mod lightweight seat, flat top tunnel mod+tunnel lightening, lightweight gas rack, camoplast challenger extreme 2.5" track, custom under tunnel lightweight exhaust, AVID exrovert drivers, lightweight mesh hood, and was professionally built by dealer. What should i know or maybe look out for? Has about 800kms. This will be my first 4 stroke. Ive heard some bad things about SC and just wondering if ill regret it over a turbo? I ride 3500-8000 altitude and want a good reliable boondocking/ Climbing sled. Do they really feel that heavy? Any advice would be great thanks.

Topic moved here to get you more views from the turbo and SC guys.

I feel you will LOVE IT!! They rock good! Some one put a TON of cash/time in her i bet you would make out BIG TIME!!

If you do more boondocking then climbing then I think you will really like it. A SC Apex will probably never hang with a turbo in the climbs, so if you are planning to keep up with buddies who have T-Apexes, look elsewhere. The Apex does show its weight unless there is fresh snow, but boost reallly helps lighten up the feel of the sled. Most efi SC'd mtn sleds I know of are very heavy on fuel, that may be another thing for you to consider.
SC Apexes seem to be selling much cheaper than turbos so hopefully you are getting a good deal.

Having said all that I would not buy another stage 1 mpi Apex for my riding style.

I ride with summit xps and dragons with small mods. Ill be trading my 08 Xp for this sled which i like alot but kinda wanted to try something different. Always been a yamaha guy. And iam not going to lie i wanna see there faces when i smoke them.
