Seafoam to New Engine?

trgcobra said:
According to a local shop, the product is great and puts a"thin coating" on the internal parts to help protect them. Anyone think this was a bad idea?

You're getting nervous on us here Bob. Just run some in the gas every now and then and some in the oil just before your second oil change. No matter how badly you neglect the engine, it will still outlast the chassis. Just take a day off and don't worry about it.

You are probably right. I put much less than the recommended amount in the crankcase. I'll just run them as I normally would.

Thanks for the reality check!!

Where are these things made? Is this gas from Japan used to test engine after assembly-so its already as old as the manufacture date? My RTX came with very little gas in it. Was not planning on putting any additives in anything-why, I will be riding it within a month and a half, even if I have to trailer to timbucktoo. Just going to fill up with fresh gas sometime between now and then. LaLaLa
