Seafoam use, must change oil?

I used Seafoam for the first time this year in a GP1300R. Wow, what a difference it made. I could tell things were gummed up and I ran a full bottle in one tank of gas. A couple tanks later I could really tell the WaveRunner was more responsive.

I want to use this product or Ring Free in the sleds to. I did not have to worry about changing oil in the WaveRunner as it is a 2-stroke.

What abou the Apex? Is it necessary to change the oil after running it through a tank just in the gas? What about the filter, will I need to change that to?

i would not be concerned about changing the oil if you added it to the gas.

I would add a couple of ouces of it to the oil and let it idle a couple of minutes right before an oil change!


but running it in the gas tank shouldnt effect the oil..

I would put a whole can in and run it for at least 1/2 hour. You need to give this stuff time so it can work.

i think you are supposed to change your oil afterwords.the junk your freeing up dosent all go out the exhaust.

Ditto wont hurt to run some in the gas also I put a half can in the oil and the other half in the oil run it for 30 mins. Best to go for a quick burn then change the oil. I do this and I hardly use any oil all season. I also run the 100% amsoil synthetic 4 stroke oil.

Wouldn't it be easier to put all of it in the oil?

No not really how hard is it to put it in your gas. Putting half is plenty and is more than enough to do the job in the gas and in the oil. But yes if one wants too you can put the whole can in the oil it will not hurt anything.
