In September before I had any miles on my Warrior, and the seat cover split at the point in the rear. Last week, I was riding in 30 below temps(not to smart), and the seat cover split down the side. I'm just wondering whether anyone else has had similar problems.
Anyway, it took a few days to get the new seat cover attached to the seat, so the dealer gave me a 03 seat. The seat was so firm - it felt like I was riding on the tunnel. I think the 04 seat rides much better - big improvement.

My seat split also on my 03 and I made the delaer just give a new 04 seat since after labor for them to take off the seat then replace the cover it was cheaper for them to just give me the new seat and have me change it. I must mention that they split the seat while it was in service so they would have lost out on warranty pay. I would do whatever you can to get the 04 seat back!!!

My dealer reluctantly replaced my seat, I just got it back yesterday. They HAD to go with an '04 seat, since (according to the service manager), the '03 seat is no longer in producation, because the '04 has been updated. That means all '03's should be replaced with '04 seats if they have problems.
As for the cracking, yup, I had it. My seat was full of water because of it. The '03 seat they gave you...any chance it was used? Mine was always ROCK hard for the first couple hours of riding, because it leaked water and froze. It took a while for the water to thaw from the exhaust and my butt. Your '03 seat could have water in it, making it hard. My '04 seat is actually firmer than my '03 seat (at least it seems that way), going by my memory of what my '03 seat felt like new...but that was a long time ago, so I could be wrong.

If there was water in it then I imagine it was hard as hell. My 03 seat was the original seat. But when I put on the 04 seat it made my hind end real happy :lol: If you got to a dealer make sure you sit on an o3 then try an 04. It is night and day the difference in the much softer 04 seat as opposed to the butt busting 03 :shock:

I have an 03 seat on my 03, and it feels pretty good. Any softer and it would be hard to shift weight.

Mine split on my 03 and I got them to warranty it , but they refused to work with me on getting an 04 replacement, said they cant do that, I was kinda pissed. Anybody tried putting more padding underneath the 03 seat cover...or has anyone ordered the 04 padding?
