Can someone who actually sat on the Nytro FX or had ridden the sled give me an idea of what it felt like sitting on it compared to other sleds in the same category, say the Rev or the new F series Cats or the Dragon, and obviously the Apex and the new Phazer ? I'm mostly concerned with the position your legs are in when sitting on the sled full on, and how easy it is to transition to standing. The Rev X is a bit on the uncomfortable side now when sitting down with so much leg bend, but standing is right there, I'm just looking for something new and more comfortable, and the new Nytro FX RTX has my attention. I've already heard one person say it felt great, just looking for some second and third opinions before making a tough decision with all these new sleds for 08. I'd appreciate any helpful replies !

Thanks, Dave

At only 5'8", I find the seating position a perfect fit on the Nytro RTX. The only other ridder forward (other than Yam) sled I've ridden is the RT chassis Machz. The Nytro feels taller and easier to stand than the Mach.

Hmmmm...... Well, after sitting on two different Nytro FX's and one Nytro MTX, it has me worried. I'm 6'2", weighing in about 260lbs, and when I sit where I find it naturally, my a** hits the exhaust shield under the seat. And that's just by bouncing a little up and down on the seat while sitting... WOW, that must be the skinniest seat I have ever sat on since my '04 Warrior! If you hug the tank, you will be fine, but if you are anywhere near the rear of the seat... OUCH! I was considering the MTX, but this definately changed my mind. Seems to me they had a small Japanese guy as the model when they made the seat! At least someone with short legs...

Nice sled otherwise.... ;)!

Taller seat then the current rev you sit with your legs between 90* and 110* I would say. Then you can scoot up and bend em more or scoot back and bend em a bit less.

I'm 6'3"ish & thought it felt alot like the Phazer, but with better foot holes!

Way more rider forward than the Apex!

Maybe too much for me!

A 200 plus day would be a great test!

How long are the demo rides???

I'm 6'1" It sat like the Phazer except the seat is wider. It's also a lot more plush. I was told that if they change anything they might add another inch or so of foam. The transition from sitting to standing is perfect and the sled balance when standing is perfect.

CO, Our demo ride was 40 to 50 miles. The way the rotation worked (long story) I was on a Nytro RTX 80% of those miles. I was certainly lucky compared to most.

I think the seating position is spot on perfect. I rode a Rev for over 5 thousand miles and I liked hugging the tank on it but it made My knees sore. The Nytro puts you way up front but your knees aren't all bent and you sit up a bit higher. The transition from sitting to standing is easier than the Rev or XP Doo. I think all the ergo's on the Nytro are perfect for me and My Wife loves the seating position and how everything fits her. I think this sled will be very comfortable for the tight twisties and for the long day tour.

Thanks a lot guys for the help ! I'm not going to get a chance to actually see one in person unless I travel 6 hours to the nearest show, so second hand opinions are all I can go on for now, but ya never know, sounds like it's worth the trip ! One things for sure, making the decision on what to get next year is getting a whole lot clearer, Blue skies ahead ! :yam:

I have an Apex and love it but after checking out the Nytro there is no doubt in My mind that My next ride will be the Nytro. I think the 130 HP engine will be all the power I will ever need and even though I like the ergo's of My Apex the Nytro is that much better. I can't wait to try out the Wife's Nytro next season. :jump:

I rode one at a demo and I have to say I love the seating position. I've riddin REV's, 07' Cats and of coarse own an Apex. I liked the aggressive position of the REV but didn't care to be forced into that position all the time. I think the Apex gives you more adjustability than the REV but the seat is to low, or tunnel to short, or cowl to low whatever you pick. As far as the REV XP I think they have made a terrible misstake. It feels like an old school sled with a tall seat. You can't have your legs in front at all with out sitting back in the seat. The 07' Cats are very nice, I really liked the seating position and the transition from seated to standing and the firm seat is also ideal for me; however the foot wells didn't seem quite right ( not sure what it was but something I didn't like), and the seat is too wide especially at the front. I think that this FX Nitro is the most near perfect. Everything I wished I could change about my Apex was done to the Nitro. I will definently have one after next year. Unless of coarse someone wants to buy my RTX? Honestly if you like a somewhat aggessive to aggressive riding position you will be very happy. By the Way I'm 6'1" and 250+ gear.

I like the FX Nytro seating position but not as much as the Phazer. Maybe its the difference in the seats? I thought the Phazer felt a little taller in the saddle than the Nytro. I also agree with Got Apex RTX in that I also don't care for My Attak as much as I did a year ago. The Apex ergo's feel a bit dated now.

Standing up is way easier than my rev x and sitting is so comfortable. Legs are much more relaxed and I thought moving around on the Nitro was less work. The tunnel is deeper than a rev which lets your legs hang down more without bending your knees as much, especially if your tall and you can keep your feet in front of you better. I just wish the handle bars were a tad wider. No biggie though.
