Seriously. Data logging is a cheap tool and you don’t need to go further than where he is now to benefit from it greatly.
If he’s not going to use it so be it.
Who has gone 148 in 1000 feet with a stock turbo on snow or ice ?

Doc isn’t going too use data logging. He wont use it and reading between the lines he meant 6 k because if you’re going that route you might as well go with the rest. Shoot it’s only 3500 in clutches! Lmao
Anyway that’s what I read it as and it’s easy to make speed taking off like an old lady. Harder to be quick.
my 2 cents
I do believe there is a stock turbod 998 down here that went 148 in 1000
Doc asked "why" datalogging was needed. I told him my opinion or 2 cents.

Going fast was and still is always about spending money . Experience, knowledge are your best teachers… Knapp and others on this site are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable snowmobilers you will find anywhere… They all know how to find speed and all have paid there dues… They are right that Data Logging in this day and age is the tool of choice to guide racers to the winners circle. Its the quickest and most accurate system to give you needed information no doubt about that . But its not the only way nor is it for everyone as we see in the case of J T.. As far as clutch temperature, I think Fleecer asked about lenght of run cause the clutch temperature is something he is very familiar with making long runs to run the speeds he has…. J T you like to post and I see nothing wrong with that and certainly if there is no one posting we will all lose interest in the site and with Yamaha going away its going to be even more of challenge.. Its a great site cause the people that post here make it a great site and lets not lose site of that … Different strokes for Different folks and as long as were talking about 2 or 4 strokes its all good ….

Simplespeed, I appreciate your words. And I apologize to you for having to read this nonsense , and to others that can't seem to grasp my wanting to sit back for a moment in time and enjoy the fruits of my labor.
I realize this is not really about the data logging, cuz there's no sense in pushing that issue any further. It's more about "too many senseless posts by me, I get it. Ty, Simplespeed.
With that said, anybody using G-Force belts?
I've found an abnormal amount of metallic fragments lodged on the surface. Yes I understand belt composition to a degree, thought it odd. 1000's of them...maybe Bob knows best! Belt is brand new.

I have not seen that on any new belts. If the metal fragments are impregnated in the rubber send it back but I suspect it is only on the surface from the belt being exposed to those small bits somewhere since it was manufactured so just clean them off.I've found an abnormal amount of metallic fragments lodged on the surface. I started a new post and possibly believe it to be a problem. Had some dialogue with Terry at Thunder products. And just making others awareI have not seen that on any new belts.
