Sure, M-10s in the 90's killed top-end compared to skids of the day that only had 6" of travel. But nowadays the difference in track angles between an M-20 and your stock skid is much less. I have seen 103MPH on my stock 600IQ with an M-20 Airwave. If it is hurting me it ain't by much. Besides, just let some extra air out and you basically have a drag skid!!
On weight transfer, I do notice the M-20 will transfer better than the M-10 because the rear torque-arm in the Airwave doesn't have to fight spring tension in order to slide the coupler blocks back. You still won't be pulling your skis a foot off the ground however if your into that.
