While swapping my track out today. The bolt that holds the main gears on the shaft was broken.
Didn't even touch it. Did notice my chain tensioner was about a half inch loose prior to dimantle
Anyone else have this issue?

Yup pretty common. There's a updated bolt

cool. brought into the dealer they said they would be taking care of it. didnt even question why it was torn down when i gave them the bolt

Any further information on this? My dealers are clueless
a buddy of mine who is a mechanic at a Yamaha dealer brought it to my attention...they sould know all about it.

mine had no idea but they covered it. they also told me not to believe everything i read on here. i wanted to back hand the guy.

bolt broken
the old bolt was a grade 10 and the new updated bolt is a 10 H got mine from PORT YAMAHA the part number is superseded
just call them for the part number they said this is common for them and stock the bolt $5 bucks

Checked mine today. The bolt didn't break but it was completely backed out, and the treads were monkeyed up.

get your dealer to phone the rep .
the bolts part number is .
90105-10369
it costs 4-6$ i believe . use blue lock tight on it and torque it .
