Happy New Year all, sounds like many of us are enjoying better sledding this year than we have seen in a while ... nice!

We have had absolutely polar temps and four times normal snow. The VK breaks the trail and the others follow. So it is possible my reluctant shifter is icing up.
This is not a too tight belt thing(I think) because it will stay locked even after the sled is turned off. I've also experienced difficulty shifting in the past if I was on an upslope. Todays problem is on the flat. It has stuck in all three positions at different times. Handle won't come back. When it does it will shift.

It is parked outside so I was planning to put some heat on it. Maybe some compressed air to see if I can get some water out. Hit it with WD40 and if that works find some likely spots to grease. How does that sound O' Wise Ones?

On my friends Venture his shift lever was so bad it would hardly work most to the time and when it did it was a fight. I sprayed the whole thing down with some white lithium grease in a aerosol can and it has shifted smoothly ever since.

Thank you. I did get it loosened up and I thought that was my next move.

just be aware that when it snaps cold, it will start sticking again from the grease. been there.

Thanks Maim.
