Shock Adjust ?

Had to replace my Rear-Front shock; RS Venture 2005. This original hydrolic guy was badly busted. Took this opportunity to order the 2007 one, which is an HPG with overall progressive spring.

I received this thing today... same length, same eye diameters..so far, so good... but there is a Philips screw with overall lock at the base. Now.. what is it ? ..compression adjustment or gaz charge port ?

You, 2007 guys... is there anything on this in your manual ?

what did the shock run you and did the front and rear have the same adjuster

do you know if this shock is stiffer to

Rear is different; i still have the same old one for the moment. But will upgrade at some point. This is the rear one btw that is stiffer; the front is pretty much the same (+2 kg/.3m/s) except the spring rate.

sorry i ment the spring stiffer i am a heavy guy and need a heavy settup in the front
i have the upgrade suspension in the rear but could use a little more stiffness
