Looking through my 06 apex gt owners manual it says to refer to separate shock manual for info on adjustments. I don't have that :-(

Anyone know where I can download it???

I just noticed that the Ohlins manual that I linked you to specs sit-in based on a vertical height from a flat ground surface to the centerline of the upper rear idler shaft. That may work, but a more widely accepted way of setting sit-in or sag on the mono shock suspension is having someone measure the shock shaft with the rear of the sled elevated off the ground and then measuring that same length with the rear end on the ground and intended rider on the machine.

The difference in those two numbers should be 40-45mm. The maximum amount of preload for the ECS spring should be 13mm. If you cannot achieve the 40-45mm of sit in while staying below the max preload, you will need to swap to a higher spring rate. If you exceed the 13mm max spring preload you run the risk of coil binding your shock (can break things and cost $$$).
