Switch has to be on then push mode button . should flip from hand heater display to shock? I think sled has to be running to adjust shock.
procedure is in manual and I am at work now or I would post it for you.

Check to see if the wire to the shock is broken . If it is you cant adjust it but the icon will come on.

had to take out suspension to repace some parts for bearing replacement. the wire doesnt seem to be broke but i cant even get the mode to change.

99.9% if you can't get into shock mode, either your wire is broke or the shock solenoid is broke. Same thing has happened to dozens of people on this site.

Yep. When you turn on the key the shock icon should appear when you press the mode button if the wire is intact. Mine broke all the time. If it severs anywhere enough that current cant get through then the shock icon will disappear. Mine was always a broken wire. I finally had my shock EC wire removed and converted to a top clicker to asjust compression. I recommend it and bjowett is the man to help you if you want it.
