why would the shock at the rear of the suspension be hitting the under side of the track?.new bearings in wheels bye the why 06 rtx apex.07 apex has at least 1/4 inch between shock and track.

Hey sean, welcome to the site. To answer your question...some do and some dont. If you asking then I would assume yours does. Go to ulmerracing.com and look for ulmers anti-rub kit. It costs like $20-$25 and its a quick easy fix.

I greased mine again the other night, and unless the big idlers are gone, I can't see the track excessively (or at all) hitting the shock eye. The track would have to bend in over 3/8 inch just to get to the shock eye. None of my studs are hitting either, and with 2500 miles there isn't a mark on the track. Wonder why some get so worn? Even with loose tension, it still is held away by the upper idlers....hmmmm.

(1) Longer bolt(10mm x 80mm)
(2) 6200-2rsj bearings
(4) 10mm washers
(1) 10mm lock nut

Problem fixed !!!!

the track will flex in that 3/8" and rub like crazy even with no studs on the 06rtx,i have one and it rubs like mad, with sled just sitting on the ground try pushing in on the track from the outside and see how little pressure it actually takes to make track touch,it isnt much at all, made my own rub kit( mocking ulmers kit by the way ,credit to him )with bigger bearings and longer bolt ,my kit allows only about 3/16" of flex before it hits bearings, the drive lugs on the inside of the track will rub the head of the bolt and nut if you space it too wide away from mounts so watch this also, the wheels at this spot in the suspension shouldnt be so far apart because it allows it to flex but thats the design we have with the mono i guess, other skids dont have any brackets that close at that point so no rubbing

I have a good deal on wear on me stock and the 6200 bearing still isn't large enough that the track will even hit it. The 6200 bearing is only 30MM. I see the 6300 bearing the 35MM. I am going to give that one a try.

I wonder why the track would flex in at that point..don't get me wrong, I've seen the wear on others, and have a little on the eye on mine, but nothing to speak of. Just wondering why mine does'nt wear like some others? I know I'm always on the gas, keeping the top in tension...lol.
