Honk - LOL LOL LOL - I didn't buy CJ's sled. Look at my Avatar, I've got a 03 LE, not that flamin Blue job he had. I replaced the rear shock with an Ohlins Clicker and the front shocks got the Pioneer springs. I've still only got a little over 3K miles on it and the orignal shocks are still fine, although I'm still hoping to have an M10 in before the first ride.

The shock came out quite easy on my GT. There was just a 14mm nut& bolt at each end of the shock that have to come out. I just jacked the rear of the sled up a little ,at the rear bumper, to make the suspension "neutral", then slid the bolts right out. As far as the shock wiring. it was not that bad. I pulled the shock with the harness attached to it. It unplugs in the engine compartment right by the where the reverse lever is. Snip a few sire ties and then you just pull the harness out, from under the sled, still attached to the shock. All of about a 10-15 job. the skid did not have to come out.
The only problem I ran into is I had to heat the nut and bolt up alittle bit to bread the threadlock that is used to secure them. You may or may not have to do this. I just felt if I put any more pressure on the nut it would have stripped.
Hope this helps.

Can you just un-plug the shock and leave the wire taps in place?

Honk, The ride is 100% better with the Ohlins Clickker shock in the rear than the stock shock and the stiffer sway bar and straight rate springs improved the front. I just picked up a new M-10 this week cause I want to get the best ride possible for my riding style and bad back. If it is half the suspension that everyone says it is then I'll be a happy camper.
See ya!
