Is anyone out there putting the Shockwave Adjustable helix on their Apex Mountains. Just wondering how they perform and if it's worth the money.

I put one on my Apex but haven't had a chance to really test it out very well. I had to pull it off to put the spring in different holes when you do your search read up on the differance you will see with different hole combinations.

Yes they are awesome BUT I sure had to lighten up my clutch weights a bunch to get the adjustability I was looking for out of it.

Now I'm wondering if it pulls as hard as it did with my 54/42 helix and heavy clutch weights?

Yes it's great to pull 10,700 at the truck and be able to turn the adjustment ring in (clockwise) and gain the RPMs back I lost while gaining all the elevation I did from the truck to the riding area.

I was going to buy one when they were $399. At $199 they are tough to beat as a mod.

Frosty
