I just got back from the SnowGoer Shoot-Out held in Woodgate in conjunction with the Old Forge Sno-Deo. They only ran the 600 class along with the open class this year. I will only post the open class resilts cause I don't have a lot of time. Although the Nitro did hold its own in the 600 class. I will give you the best ET and MPH in each run. These are for the 1/4 mile. First the stock run:
Arctic ZR 900: 12.59 @ 92.40 MPH
Polaris Fusion: 12.67 @ 92.02 MPH
Doo Z 1000: 12.95 @ 91.27 MPh
Yamha APEX: 12.63 @ 91.64 MPH
Thses are the results for the dealer prep runs:
Arctic ZR 900: 12.49 @ 94.93 MPH
Polaris Fusion: 12.60 @ 95.54 MPH
Doo Z1000: 12.49 @ 100.22 MPH
Yamaha APEX: 12.46 @ 95.13 MPH
I believe these are all correct, if I heard the PA system right. The Ski-Doo Z 1000 was fastest, but the Apex had the quicker ET, and we all know the quickest ET wins the race.

wow, big gains on the doo. almost 9mph and half a second. I'm surprised it was 3 tenths slower stock. Was there a lot of spinning?
Looks like for once they all went faster after the dealers got ahold of them too.

I thought dealer prepped Yamaha's went slower then stock lol.
That is awesome!! It's good to see the Apex running right with or faster then a 2 stroke 1000...This sled flat out hauls!

How does the mph get to be 4 mph difference, but yet the ET's are very close and the Apex beat the Mach for ET's, which is great to hear.

4 mph difference but same ET's all reflects that the Mach had a very slow 60' time.

Means eventually the Mach would pass the Apex. Because midrange the mach probably began to really pull. Still real nice in the 1/4 which is what the majority will run in informal races. Thanks for the info BBW.

Rotax,
It all depends on the hole-shot. I know when I spun on the asphalt from the 0ft-->60ft my mph was better, but et suffered.... When my ET got better, my mph was slower... it's all based on how i could hook up down low and carry RPM down the track. That's most likely what happen here.
The Mach I believe has a 1" track and probably spun out of the hold, because of the torque (might be clutching too, don’t know)... if it hooked up who knows, same goes for the Apex though... Great to see the Apex do well.
This Fall I helped a guys with an Apex (clutching and skid setup) on the grass, he was swapping wins with a clutched Mach. He was happy…

The mach guys are gonna start saying what we have been saying for 3 years, lets run a longer distance.................To have that much higher MPH's in the short distance they ran tells me it was comming on like a jet fighter hitting the afterburner
