Shorty Conversion

Indy I know the tunnel protecters need to be changed, will the factory warrior protecters work better than everyone elses homade models with the shims.

Jeff

I really dont know, I made mine for just a few dollars. In my humble opinion, I wouldnt do it, even with the m10, I liked the sled much better as a 121". My new sled will be a 121.

I think that the ride quality is much better. Maybe bridging between the bumps better or what have you, but I thought and still think it was night and day.

And no, I'm not defending the POS Proaction. But I still have it in there, and if I keep the 03, I'll probably upgrade as well.

Thought I would offer a couple of observations. First, I like the improvements going 136" made to the '03. I did the Hartman kit and like it. The 121" sliders have not been a problem at all in terms of wear, I did over 4000 miles with the original sliders. You asked about extroverts and I would think twice about it. The extroverts offer no front-of-track side-to- side guiding of the track. I have lost 11 clips to date this year from the rail protectors on the front of the rails hitting the side guides on the clips. This happens when hitting angled moguls. Without drivers that limit the side-to-side movement of the front of the track, this is inevitable over time. I am going to see if I can add the original outside drivers but on the inside of the extroverts to rectify this. If you look in the '06 brochure where the mountain sleds are you will see a picture of the new drivers for these machines. They are a combination of extrovert and introvert. No ratcheting and no side travel, just what the doctor ordered. Too bad they are only 8 tooth. By the way, I also would have gone M-10 or Expert when I stretched it if I had thought I would be keeping it longer than 2 or 3 years. (And probably will now) With the kind of trade in values on '03's and the money I have put in it, I would be looking at $7K+ to upgrade at this point.

I think you guys are missing the point. He is not trying to improve the ride, he is after better traction. As for the ride, not everyone hates it. I actually prefer the balance of weight transfer and ride the 136 Offers. I believe that the 136 proaction is a pretty decent skid once you get it dialed in. I have spent 1200 of my first 2000 miles dialing in my 05 Warrior with great success. Each week it just gets better and better.

I just put on the CPR filter kit and theres just too much track spin. Thanks ;)! Jeff

As for what to use I like the 136" Extensions from Tracks. However I ended going with the MPI ones on my SRX with out issue. We also have another SRX with SLP extensions. As for the tunnel extension, I feel they all work well. It just comes down to the look you desire and cost. The MPI rear grab bar does look sweet though. I also might consider a 144" Tunnel extension with the 136" teack. It still looks sweet, but gives you some better options for strapping down some gear.

Thanks a lot guys! I have been super busy and had no time to get on here!
Snomad I went tonight to the sneak preview of the 06' models and checked out those mountain rx drivers and totally agree with what your saying. Those drivers would be a nice bonus. Thanks again boys :rocks:
