I have read tons of threads on this that have been very helpful, buuut at still very confused, the code 84 comes up and renders the sled inoperable, besides the obvious cable adjustment, what else can be done? Can this be disconnected without any other issues?

Frustrated........
Jim

You do not want to disconnect TORS on your sled. It is there for safety reasons. The only time TORS activated on my sled was due to some freezing rain getting on the throttle cable.

Did you by chance install some handlebar risers? It sounds like your throttle cable has a kink somewhere and that is activated TORS.

code 84

my will go on when i use my guntlets and try to ride hard sets the code off quite often they catch some how. I then have to shut her off and restart then its ok jeff

no risers, no gauntlets, maybe it is just a cable adjustment
Any other ideas?

get a new cable.. ive never seen this happen unless the cable was binding or was pulling out of the throttle block

i wonder if the switch in the throttle handle is faulty or maybe the plastic bushings are wore out causing to much slop in the cable allowing the thors to engage sometimes.
