could someone explain the difference between the two drive clutches ? A viper 190 kit can pull dtya one weights but my friends sidewinder mtx with an evo tune cannot? Makes no sense to me with the same springs and a shallower helix.

Simple really, the sidewinder clutch pivot points are further out away from the center and apply more shift force to the clutch with less weight due to centrifugal force alone.

Also the sidewinder secondary has a helix that is larger dia and therefore requires less helix angle than the earlier version viper clutch with smaller dia helix.

You can’t compare things between the different clutches the same. Sidewinder will need less weight in drive and less helix angle in comparison.
