Do the Sidewinder and the Viper share the same skid? Reason I ask is a guy has his Sidewinder tri-hub for sale and I want it for my 15' because of the replaceable bearings on it.

You would be better off getting a full 4th wheel kit then another junk trihub. Just my 2 cents..
I'm not familiar with the skid on the viper or sidewinder.....being the last person on planet earth to get "the call" ! But Yamaha is sticking behind this skids durability and yet I hear about these trihubs being crap. Makes me wonder why yammie didn't replace them? We got duped on the rails and cross shafts and we have an inferior rear axle!
Does the warranty cover the skid or do they consider it a wear item?

Warranty should cover rear skid parts except for slides and wheels I believe.
I agree with AXR...but will throw in the other advantages like no snowballs hitting you while you ride, better cornering cause the outside wheels help keep a larger footprint and doesn't fold up your track.
