I’m looking to get a travel cover for my 17 mtx Sidewinder. Typically I use an enclosed trailer but spring run a sled deck. How do the Yamaha factory covers fit? They built to last?

I have 2 on my vipers and they last well and have been washed at a commercial laundry twice

Is the viper cover essentially the same cover for the Sidewinder?

I have a 50th anniversary Winder...RTX, and my cover(Premium Version, which is more expensive than the standard cover) fits great..snug it down with the hooks...and you should have no problems. And it’s the good Heavy Duty cover...not the canvas BS!! Go with the top of the line one, and it will fit great and last for a long time.
I have an enclose trailer...but mine fits we’ll enough that I wouldn’t hesitate to use it on an open set up.

Its been so many yrs since I used covers with the enclosed trailer.
But it sure looks like I will be travelling more often during the ride season and alum ramps are going to make for quick weekend trips without having to dig out trailer.
Are there any covers that are looser fitting, that work with hand guards and whichever window I may have on at the time? I have looked at the Yamaha covers but they all look to be a normal snug fit type. Being in truck bed it's not that dirty of an environment compared to open trailer. But id like something.
Any thought let me know guys.
thnx

I would recommend the factory cover. I own the premium Yamaha cover. I have rox handgurards and a mountain strap. Fits great. The windshield/handlebar are stretches. I plan to add a mid windshield and 2 more inches on the riser. I have no concern with it still fitting nicelyIts been so many yrs since I used covers with the enclosed trailer.

Interesting....so you're saying the yam cover fits right over hand guards? Any pics? All my covers from yrs ago used to be quite tight, especially at bars, so no way they would go over the hand guards.
As for my "SE" window I seem to be using mostly now, its not tall really but certainly taller then my tiny stock LE ''wind-screen", So it sounds like they expand?
Any pics would be great, id appreciate it...I have a 129 too so not sure if that is a specific one too.

I do not have any pics with the hand guards on. I will take some when I get home tonight and post them for you. I have the stock se window in mine now. I put mine on handlebars first the the nose then tail. Works great for me.

Viper ltx is 2,5inches longer than the SW ltx. Viper cover fit perfect whit tall windshield and hand guard. I can even leave the gaz can on. In fact viper cover fit better!

I have one and have sprayed it off on the sled at a car wash after a trip and hand it up on a step ladder to dry out and still looks new and fits great

I have the deluxe cover for my SW Only have a open trailer and I recommend that you use a soft blanket first as the cover will scuff the upper areas from the seams.I’m looking to get a travel cover for my 17 mtx Sidewinder. In your picture, what brand hand guards do you have?
How would the cover fit with a lower SE window and hand guards?
Do you think I would need a TALL WINDOW cover to have more room for guards?
Or does the cover change heights for diff window sizes?
thanks for pic.
