I put on a set of Simmons skis on the Phazer this weekend to try them out and they made a world of difference, as it handled much better with no more pushing and seem to corner much flatter. But at first I had the shock pressure set low, then I went up 20lbs and the sled was back to its old ways, tippy and pushing in the corners. I would think that adding pressure to the shocks would increase ski pressure and add more bite in the corners? Has anyone tried replacing the floats with a set of spring over clicker shocks? I was thinking on trying a set from off my Nytro and see if they would help the handling.

Vector1,

I had very good results running some old Simmons on my Phazer this year. It really made the sled handle much better and also absorbs bumps better. I found the Simmons to be very predictable and really helped with the bad push in loose snow and powder. I guess the only thing I am not nuts about is the steering on pavement (some new carbides may help). I think a single runner ski would be better for that. I was running 60 psi in the floats. Why did you increase the pressure? If you were happy with the handling before raising it, why not run it there, unless you were under the 50psi recommended min?

i have simm also and love them i have 110 lbs lifted of ground. great in powder and loose stuff. but really suck if lots of ice with grooves. keeps following the grooves in the ice from other sleds.
so in ice conditions i run stock ski with stud boy dually and it works great.
