I just tried to install the shim fix for darting skis. Has anyone else tried this with the simmons? I had the 6"/4" carbide combo and switched the longer carbide to the outside after hearing from everyone that worked better. I added about 1/4" of shim to the back side (shorter side) of the rubber bumper. Is this the correct side to add the shim? I looked at the TY tech forum and that looked like the proper location from the pics. I was hoping to hear if anyone else had tried it and what their experience was. If I don't hear anything I'll leave my impression after I get out on my next ride.

I left my 6 inchers on the inside and 4's outside. I installed 3/8" shims to back side of rubber and set the toe at 0. Doesn't dart or wander at all now and seems to be way more stable at speed.

SIMMMONS DARTING FIX

i have 2 warriors and a vector with simmons skis, that dart on hard packed roads or ice covered trails, sent a e-mail to val at simmons who told me to set the toe out at 1/2 in and to run 2 6in on both inner and outer. this dartting is mostly at lower speeds or coast. sleds are not studded
