depends on fuel and usage. are you talking short distances or long distances and is it fresh pump premium gas, or old crap, it all makes a difference. i would say easily 10 pounds, and perhaps 12. if you increase boost and lose rpms, or start hearing a popping sound, chances are your too high. this will happen for awhile before it goes boom. jeff

100 low lead avgas , 2 headgaskets , 14 p.s.i. Quarter mile at a time at most , No probs, no popping , .................not giving advice just telling my experience . I have no probs rebuilding my engine if something goes wrong . Err on the safe side .

Hey Jeff,Just waiting for MATT to receive my money to get your cpr kit.Down hear we run 800 to 1000 ft and no more.We do not have lakes to run on so 1000 ft is the max we run.93 oct is always fresh gas .For c-12 we pay $ 20 gal so I will be using this for the big events ,can you tell me also at what boose can I run on this c-12 ,straight or 50\50 THANKS.
i have run stock engine at 15 lbs on straight 110 octane no problem, made 265 hp with trail turbo, just ran a lake race turbo with a stock engine at 16.5 lbs with vp-16 and made 305 hp. both can be trail ridden on low boost with pump gas. jeff
