I am thinking about getting a CPR turbo and changing the pistons. I am wondering what hp level can be achieved with the lower comp. pistons, and what pistons? 03 RX1
we reccomend 7.5 lbs boost with the stock engine, you can lower the compression with a thicker head gasket or pistons, we use 10-1 pistons. the 10-1 compression ratio will take 10 lbs of boost in trail form, 220 hp, on pump gas. jeff

Is that with or without the thicker gasket?
the lower the compression, the safer you are, if you run good premium fuel, just the pistons are fine, jeff

Whose pistons do you like and would you do the rods at the same time ?
we are currently using the wiseco pistons, rods are not necessary for 10 lbs, but if you don't mind the 1000.00 price of the rods, go ahead and put them in while its apart. that way if you want to get crazy with the boost, your covered. jeff

I didn't realize the rods cost so much. I think I'll just go with the pistons.
Why would you want to change the rods at 10lbs??

You wouldn't, but above 15 you may want to. I just figured that as long as it was apart, I might as well do it right. But $1000 just for the rods is more than I care to pay.
I am interested in a turbo. Is there anyone out there that has a Simon's CPR turbo on a RX1?

Turk & Vcrash do. I think that would be a good choice for you because he is right there in Wisc. and he has a good deal to deliver it installed on a new sled, which is well worth it. You would be crazy not to take him up on that offer if you get one.
misfit- I do have two sleds on order this past winter I had a chance to drive a CPR Turbo The sled in my opinion is awesome and he is in Wisconsin not far from you and I.

4Kops I have a friend that said he knew of 4 guy that had CRP turbos on order but didn't take them for one reason or another. I have heard a lot of talk but I have yet to talk to anyone who has one.
only two guys who had them on order backed out, nether could afford it when it was time to pay up. so the kits were sold to others waiting in line, call me and i will give you some names and numbers of guys who have my kits that you can talk to. one of the guys has over 3000 miles on his cpr turbo. jeff 1-414-698-6611
