Unless I did not see it in the pile of results under searching, maybe its not there....??
Is there a painless way to get the upper carrier wheels out so i can service them?
Lastly, not related to this post, but is installing a 4th rear wheel a must-do?
Thanks

Just to service the idler wheels you can do with the skid in the sled but I prerfer to remove the skid to service the upper carrier wheels and rears, just would be better to get a good look at the skid condition and service it in my mind and not that hard to do, as for the fourth wheel kit it helps keep the skid straight and support the rear of the track, its just away OEMS like to save weight only putting 3 wheels, most get along fine without the fourth wheel kit.

I agree with 20/80 as the Single Shot suspension in my 18 XTX is probably one of the easiest to re-install and that is with me doing it myself. The only part that sucks is pumping air back into the shock. I have a lift for servicing my sleds so before removing suspension, I release air pressure in shock and then unbolt suspension and remove from track to inspect/service. Then when re-installing, slide suspension back into track and then lower sled so that I can then bolt up suspension. With no air in shock it's real easy to bolt up; just sucks refilling the shock as it's a real workout.
As for the 4th wheel kit, IMO it's a must if running studs. I added one too but did not purchase the kit. Just purchased a replacement rear idler wheel and then cut off the longer spacer, the amount equal to the bearing in the 4th wheel. There are posts on this forum describing how to do this and it's much cheaper than purchasing the kit.

i added the 4th wheel kit to reduce the stress on the long side outer wheel. seen too many guys walk back from loosing that wheel. done it a few times myself. i do not run studs.
have not had to service those wheels yet on mine but i prefer to pull them off and have them out of the wheel to do that.
