Hi guys; what is the best way to align skis. I have access to a yamaha alignment bar that goes through the spindals and want to do it right and keep my bars straight which they are now; any advise would be appreciated.

Kind of hard for me to explain but I'll give it a try.

1) Center your bars by either sitting on the sled and eyeballing the bars with the front or take measurements from the ends of the bars to a known center point on the rear of the sled. Make sure they stay there throughout the alingment.
2)Raise your sled and align your track. Lower your sled to the ground.
3) Take a straight 2X4X12' laying it flat and run it up against the outside of the track and let it pertrude up between the skis. I even run small 2X4 blocks under the 12 footer in order to raise it up off the ground.
4) Take all your measurements from the edge of the 2x4.
5) The rest is done by adding and subtracting for toe in, toe out or even toe.
Hope this helps.
