WELL we put a big tubo and modded PL daves header, reused the trail intake and intercooler mades some lite weight handle bars and took all the stock ecu wiring off, we really only got 2 full passes, chris was going for his license and had to do some half track passe, besides that we had to start all over with the tuning with the big turbo and she is still is runing 10.4 to1 AF and about 21 pounds of boost, Milans race track was slip and slide no one was getting down the track, I hope the next time out we should see some low 8 passes, I bet you will see some 7's out this this year yet. standalone is working great, sled loves this turbo, I know there is more power by just building a race header and intercooler but that will be for next year... we got to get our grass sleds ready so no more ski doo fabrication this year.. see you guys soon..

If you really can go in 7's on asphalt with so little mods.

There will be doo's in my future... yamaha take so many mods to get there its unbelievable

I'm pretty sure thats the message PL Dave and a few others have been trying to get across. The Doo's are tuning on, and the yamaha guys don't like it.

This has de reverse effect on me..

The day I'll see a STOCK engine turbo 1200 do the same as fully built engine turbo apex do, all my yamaha's will be for sale because they will be obsolete.

Only thing is I find this pretty hard to believe... but well see

That motor in the Doo has been put through the ringer over the past year & still runs like a top. Very impressed so far. We don't think it will take much over 24 lbs of boost to run in the high 7.90's. Just gotta get it dialed in. To run a 8.57 at 21#'s & have it be on the boost limiter for 1 full second is impressive. Running 1.30's is not good for a 60' but should be in the high 1.teens with a little more testing. I wouldn't give the Yama's up as we run them with stock motors up to 25#'s all the time with a good tune & great fuel.

well when I say 7s, I mean it will be some work to get it there, the apex does 7.6 with no trouble, with some work i hope to see low 7s with a good race surface, time will tell, This same sled skidoo 1200 will be on grass for haydays. and we have 3 real trail nytros that will be on grass also so you all will get a good idea what she do... the nytro are using the same standalone but use our turbo kits, I think they will be close...

thank you for clarification guys!

lets see them run in 7's ans see what they need to do it now.
