So, to sum this all up, the Doo wheels are the ones to go with. Also replace your slides when you go to a bigger wheel. As with any mod, Yamaha can turn down warreny work, go at your own risk. Could help to have a good relationship with your dealer if something does go wrong. Stock is only the beginning...

Another option is to run the Yamaha 8CR-4731A-00-00 wheels (04 RX-1 wheel). Again it is a mod to the skid, but at least they are spec'd the same diameter as the stock wheels.
I measured the diameter of these and they were 1mm larger than my stock 06 wheels. They are also wider and in my "bench experiment" (putting my weight on them) they compressed less than the 06 wheels.
They also use the same 6205 bearing the Doo & Poo wheels do so they last a long time.
Just like any other wheel with 6205 bearings if you want the inner wheels to run in the center of the drive cogs you have to machine the suspension mounts by 0.060".
A lot of guys have installed wheels with 6205 bearings without the machining and I haven't heard of any problems. I ran these and did machine my mounts. The outer wheels lasted 10,000 km (6000 miles) so far and are still in great shape. The inner ones I changed at about 6500 km (4000+ miles) because there were cracks starting to form between the rubber and the wheel.
