stumbled back across this thread and thought I would fire it back up to see what the results were tom?
had it messed with the steering at all?
how have the brackets held up in general?

I would not waste the time. All of them would pop off when I had them in storage mode, then they would fall and twist even with lock washers and lock-tite... I need to come up with something better. I removed them for now.

I have a similar design on my rails and besides the other down falls mentioned, I also noticed they collect snow and ice when in the parked position which has to cause drag especially when not on hard packed trails.
