Ski replacement- what matters when buying used?

Hoping to get used skis for 2013 RS Venture. How do I know what "fits". Lots of variations out there.
What Spec is most important?

Do Polaris or Ski Doo skis fit a Yamaha? Thanks for your thoughts!

It more about the rubber mount then it is about the ski. I can get almost any ski to fit on that sled.

Thank you, so if I get say Apex skis, I can buy or use my rubber mounts and likely make them fit?

How about my 2010 if I go to Tuner skis? stock rubber mounts will accept the Tuners? I wonder if they're better for that machine? thoughts?

they changed the spindles on the eps sleds and the new spindles took a different rubber. the stock rubber from your 10 will work on the tuner skis. i put a set of tuners from a 16 apex onto a 1997 sx 700 using the stock 700 rubbers. guy loves them on that sled.

as to being better on that machine, it depends on your riding conditions and style. i loved them on the trails in the U.P. on an apex xtx but at home they didn't work for me.
