2021 ltx gt sidewinder
2021 ltx gt when rear of track is in alinement on the skid the front of the slide rail on the left side is touching the clips and the right side has a half inch gap. The drives are centered in the track windows. It has never been jumped or twisted it came from factory this way. I did not contact dealer yet because I would be afraid it might be there for remainder of the season. Thanks for any advice.

It’s almost for sure the drivers have to move over. But could be skid. Try this. Instead of looking at slider distance at back adjust track so rear wheels are centred between lugs. Does everything still look the same?

When i have had my drive shaft apart in the summer, I was surprised that it will slide back and forth between the two bearings (chaincase and brake side bearing) nearly a quarter inch before i torque up the BOP wedge and lock it in place.

That is likely the space you need to have your track strike the skid in the right spot. I would play with the rear adjusters to get you through the season, then when its apart at see if it will align better when re assembled.

For a quick fix for a worn axle we bought a warranty return axle from a cat dealer instead of waiting for machine shop. It was sitting at dealer because the drivers weren’t in the right spot from the factory. It didn’t just run out of alignment it made a godawful grinding noise constantly. My point being it may just be factory defective driver location as mentioned in other reply.

I just measured my skid frame with sled on stand and using a square front and back are both one half inch to the right. Could there be shims or spacers that may have been put in the wrong place?

Ya not surprised, sorry no ideas
Bring to dealer for warranty after the season is up, try and align best you can.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I will spend so time on it, if no luck, it will go to the dealer in the spring, thanks again.

Someone else just recently posted about this. Told them to check the cross shaft fitment on the front of the skid. May have been tightened down at an angle. It's possible with the amount of room you can get from the slide action skid.

On that same note - look at the skid’s front arms and make sure the rubber bumpers are both there. It is possible (however unlikely) if one was missing it would cock the skid off true.

Or worse - the cross shaft is bent on one side causing mis alignment.

Thanks everyone, I took it to the dealer and phoned another dealer and explained what I seen, they both said that it was normal to be the way it is, I guess I am being to picky. Thanks

Thanks but nothing like that.

My drive sprockets are in middle of one window and rubbing on outside of other window. I would think that both should be in the middle. Another summer project aligning sprockets.
