skinz float plate help?

just about to order skinz float plate for protection and floatation just wondering if it fits with stock bumper and how difficult is installation

Here is the install guide. I had just emailed SPG last week and yes it does fit on the stock bumper. Install is easy.

take out the 4 bolts, install plate w/ new bolts & drill 2 holes for the front section to clamp to the bumper.

yes it works with the stock bumper.

That is a big piece of plastic. Does that float plate catch up snow between the plate and the sled's underbody and around the steering linkages - which would then turn to ice? The Yamaha protector is small but still accummulates ice especially on the front.

It does catch ice and snow between stock and float plate but I have never had any issues because of it and I believe that because it covers such a big area it probably lessens the amount of snow that gets inside by steering.I do know it does help floatation.

agreed. i have had both the yami plate & now the float plate.
the yami had alot of ice under around the swaybar.
the float plate reduced the ice by quite a bit. but still get some.

didn't have any problems around the steering with either plates.
