has anyone used this seat, on an rx1? or an apex even for that matter, considering putting this on my warrior instead of an apex seat, i would imagine the conversion would be the same to fit this seat to an rx1 as it would a stock apex seat to an rx1 (sorry, no non sponsor links allowed 
)
it also looks like it comes with a rear frame cover where the hole for the stock exhaust would sit. i wonder if this plate would also bolt onto a rx tunnel. are the rx tunnels and apex tunnels the same

If that's what you really want go for it but you can get an apex seat a cheaper and IMO they look better

thats kinda the thing, im not really sold on the looks of the apex seat. but the stock seat is not workin out. i wish i knew someone by me who had an apex seat on a rx so i can ride it, and see what feels like. the spg seat looks pretty aggressive and that is what im looking for. thanks for your reply tho

I just snared an Apex seat for my '03 RX1. Some things to be aware of, There are 2 different densities of foam on the Apex seats. The RTX and MTX versions are firmer. The GTX is softer. Another way to tell is by the stripe on the side.
-stripe on edge = firm
-stripe in middle = soft
The firmer seat is supposed to be the trick. I hear that the switch to the softer compound usually leave folks wanting a bit more. $200.00 on Snow west shipped to me.

ditto on the RTX, much firmer than the GT. I did mine using the RTX, much improved.

The MTX is also striped in the middle...
I really like the skinz seat and i think it would look sweet with the excell pipe, I have maxed my mod's for this year but next year i am going to have a serious look at that seat

i designed an exhaust system that uses two DandD stinger tips off of a yamaha r1. cut the stock muffler off and welded on 2 s pipes to raise the pipes above the tunnel and then mounted the two stingers directly to the top of the tunnel. this seat would look nice with this exhaust i think. took a lot of weight off since the stingers do not weigh very much. since it comes with that block off for the valley the stock exhaust sits in, my stingers would sit on top of that. the two stingers were only 280 on ebay shipped. so thats much cheaper than any exhaust you can buy for this machine. and now its true duals
Cool, the only thing i would miss is the storage on the apex seat

FIX AIR INTAKE KIT
Not sure how to do this site but here goes.
Hi, I have a 2003 yamaha RX1. I purchased a set of carbs. on e-bay that has the Fix Power Sports kit in them.
I think some one has messed with the jets, the main jet is # 185 & the starter jet is # 160 , it is running very rich at idle & low end.
Can you or someone tell me what should be in the carbs. or E-mail me a copy of the spec. sheet, or any thing that would help.?
