2007 attak gt
hi guys, hope everyone has snow by now,its been a strange season so far but still early.
Anyway I have an 07 attak gt ,just about done adding things except I want her to steer better.
I am running stock skis with 8" bergstrom triple points and she still doesn't want to turn like I would like.
So what brand skis should I buy? Im a 90% trail rider and I ride aggressive but within my limits and a safe rider.
I definitely want a better keel and am looking for input from someone who rides the attak and has first hand knowledge.
thanks cr8zybaby

Try shimming the skis, it helps. I went with SLP SLT skis and they helped a lot!

thanks dmaxx, yup they are shimmed and still not where I want to be.I run a 1.25 track without studs
just wanna get some skis cuz I think I will keep her

Keep keep your stock skis, pull the shims out, and install snowtrackers. Likely be the best money you’ve ever spent on the front end of a sled. Make sure you follow the install instructions. Barn of Parts, a site sponsor, carries them in stock and are great people to deal with.

hey thanks stubby,I have talked to Travis from BOP and he told me the same,I have also bought stuff from him in the past.I just wanna hear from someone that had a great pair of skis on their attak gt and will set my mind at ease.I already dropped 240$ on the triple points,I want a different ski maybe I'll get lucky and the stock hole layout will be the same that way I can use those triple points.

hey dmaxx you are a vendor how much would a set of slp slt run me(everything included)at least 6" carbides
thanks cr8zybaby

C&A and you will be very happy. If you find it steers too hard just adjust suspension to accommodate. I have razors they have a trail specific ski now.

Yamaha Mtn skis with Snowtrackers. The Mtn skis have a deeper keel than stock and the Trackers will give you the bite when cornering aggressively without adding extra turning effort.
I have tried 6", 8" shimmed, Triple points, and dualies on stock skis. The triples worked the best but no comparison to the Trackers

Stock skis no shims with stud boy deuce bars = big improvement and economical

I will double Stubbies comment. Had the triple points was very impressed over stock, tried the yamaha tuners, just went to the aggressive snow trackers end of last year and will never go to any thing else. I do 3 to 5K every winter. What I have learned from ST is they make steering easier even with my power steering, have not had any tracking issues so far, no push in the corners with any kind of snow, work very well on ice. Will scratch up your garage floor. You won't be disappointed with ST.

on the 05 rx war i ran curves while i had it with a shim and loved them for everything on the trail except fresh or loose snow. sold that one to my brother and now have still ridden it quite a bit but with the 09 mtx skis witch made it go awsome in all conditions now. only run 6" stud boy shaper bars too. your tripple points will bolt right to them too.

I just changed skis, and quickly found reading "ski threads" that you could ask 50 guys and get 50 different correct answers - it's almost like an oil thread. I think it boils down to what you're looking for and the type of riding you do. I did a fair amount of research and decided on a C&A trail ski with Bergstrom triple points. I chose the triple points over snow trackers because they easily fit in my ski dollies to prevent gouging floors, and still work great and wear great in all conditions, at least for my preferences. It's worth taking time to learn what the various design features of skis/carbides accomplish, then make choices based on what YOU want and are willing to spend the $ for.
