is anyone running a sled deck running down the road with your sleds covers on????

No sled Deck here but all last year I ran my Nytro in the back of my Ranger so I built a ramp to have it sitting over the wheel wells. Anytime I had it in I ran my Cover and an Under cover (soft white cover) to protect plastics from scratches. Not what you are looking for but same idea as far as I'm thinking.

I have a sled deck and I never put the cover on my sleds. That one reason I got a sled deck was to keep my investments out of road slop.

I have a lead on a sled deck...I was thinking the same. Do your sleds get any salt or slush?

Unless I get behind a semi on the highway they don't get any salt or slush up there

Cool, just bought a sled deck 5 minutes ago :-o

That was one of my concerns

Well congrats! Yup you will never have to deal will dirty and messy sleds from the roads ever again.

Got my sled deck last night :)

This is a picture of when the guy had it on his truck.

I need to find some camper jacks or hopefully winch it off of my truck between some trees in my woods....but OH MAN!!!! it's awesome!

Thanks a really nice looking deck. Nice big one. Wish I would have made mine a little bigger but it works. Have you ever loaded a sled up on one? How long is the ramp?

Ramp is 10 feet long and haven't loaded up a sled yet....doing that tonight.

This thing is 10 feet long and hangs out of my short bad truck about 3 1/2 feet. Glad it's got lights on it. It's held down in each corner with turn buckles and is very solid. The guy said he had 3 sleds on there at one time...no problems.

The ramp will actually fit under the deck....it's very tight, but it fits. He said to always bring it along "in case" but always unloaded/loaded from a nearby snowbank.

Ok careful loading a sled up there the for the the first time, it can be a little scary once you get to to the top but after doing it a few time you get use to it. The deck looks very solid and should work great for you. Do you mind me asking what you got it for?

Mine should be here on Monday leaving for Colorado on Tuesday morning

Here's my sled deck. I had originally painted the headache and side Blue to match my sled but I thought it look kinda kiddish so I painted black.

I wish I was going with ya....trust me, I had every intention on going.....was even going to surprise you guys

It use to be a two place trailer I got for $100. Cut the axle off and welled some legs and added a few supports hear and there. Maybe $200 into material for the ramp. It was a nice summer project.
