Sled ideas for women

Vector ltx w power steering woukd b a great sled if you are into trail riding especially. If she's more aggressive phazer or nytro. If budgets not a problem the viper is a great riding sled as well.

Blue, the budget is $3500. But yeah, an EPs equipped vector appears to be the best woman's sled out there. I see many women riding these. I have a buddy that has 2 younger daughter in the 15-17 yr old range that were very happy with demo yamaha phasers.

I say look for a 4 stroke phaser, or a 500 or 600 polaris, should be able to get a 600 shift for that.

I was in this same issue but for myself the last 2 seasons!!! Bought a 600 2003 rev hated it, then a 600 carb IQ Polaris. Lots of tuning work on these up to 09. I'd seriously look at used Vectors, iq 550 fan (cheap and EASY to work on) and ski doo 500ss, maybe a phazer. I do think the iq fan is a great machine for the $$$. I know I could've got a 09 550 around here for under $3500 and it'd be fine for my wife. Not quite enough HP for me.

I know it's not a yamaha, but several of the women in our club ride Skidoo GSX sleds. They are two smokes too... but they are light weight, handle well, and are easy to ride. One of our riders had two other sleds before, both two smokes, and just got the GSX. She feels that this sled is so much easier to ride it makes her a better rider. That's quite a statement from someone who rides a lot... like at least 6000 miles in the past three years.

I will say my wife has a 700 edge, loves it. Tried to get her on my REV and after 10 minutes she wanted hers back. My gen 1 rev was very darty and hard to handle on nice grommed straits. Nothing seemed to cure it 100%. The iq IMO handles better than a REV but my 600 felt heavier than my 600 rev. I think the 550 fan would be nice and light.

Im not sure why the Phazer gets recommended for women and teenagers all the time...

It is very tippy, back end rides like $%&? in stock form.

If she is an agressive rider go for it! I have to put in a lot more riding effort compared to any other sled I have owned. That being said it is also (for me) the most comfortable, fun to ride sled I've been on...if you are OK with not getting any sustained wheelie thrills! Hahaha

PS - nobody take my post personally, not intended to be sexist or rude in anyway, just matter of fact, Phazer is a "rider-input" sled...IMHO

Good luck whatever you choose

all the women in the family ride vector, no issues from any of them handling them
